I come from a coffee-growing family, my parents have taught us about coffee culture for as long as I can remember, and we have always lived from it. Thanks to coffee, they provided us with education, and we have been able to get ahead despite the difficulties that always arise, but working as a family has always led us to overcome each situation. I love life in the countryside, and although I have had the opportunity to live and be in other cities, I would never change all that the countryside and the land can give us.
I have my farm because it was part of the family inheritance. As a family of three children, my husband and I, we have managed to provide them with education; the two older ones are independent, and we are bringing up the youngest. During the harvest season on the farm, we count on 3 people, my husband and I, the processes we apply involve having a good collection only picking the ripest coffee, we leave the fermentation for a maximum of 24 hours, after this we wash it and take it to the drying area. My farm is located in La Península neighborhood, in the Municipality of Tarqui, Department of Huila, the farm is called Miraflores, there we have Caturra, Catimore, and Variedad Colombia varieties, we have 12,000 coffee trees and it is at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level.
