I come from the La Esmeralda district of Guadalupe municipality, where I've spent 38 years working with and learning about coffee. My life in the countryside began when I was just 6 years old. On my farm, we grow Manzano and Colombia coffee varieties, with approximately 10,000 plants scattered across our land. During the harvest season, we're grateful to have the support of five additional people to help with the work.

My family consists of my wife and four children, who are currently studying—some in high school and others in primary school. We take great care in our coffee processing to ensure high quality. During harvest, we make sure to pick only the ripe cherries, which we then pulp and leave in a tank for 16 to 24 hours. Afterward, the cherries are spread out to dry for 15 to 20 days.

Coffee is our sole source of income, which is why we put our hearts into producing an excellent cup. We're excited about the project we're involved in because, as coffee farmers, we always hope to be recognized for our hard work and the quality of our product.
